{"id":778709,"date":"2025-03-13T16:06:05","date_gmt":"2025-03-13T16:06:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.architectsjournal.co.uk\/?p=778709"},"modified":"2025-03-13T17:18:16","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T17:18:16","slug":"bell-phillips-and-intervention-get-ok-for-first-homes-at-birmingham-smithfield","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.architectsjournal.co.uk\/news\/bell-phillips-and-intervention-get-ok-for-first-homes-at-birmingham-smithfield","title":{"rendered":"Bell Phillips and Intervention get OK for first homes at Birmingham Smithfield"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>East London practice Bell Phillips is working with emerging local practice Intervention on the detailed plans for 408 build-to-rent homes in one of the earliest phases of the major regeneration site, near New Street station in Birmingham city centre.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed homes will sit at the heart of the 17ha masterplan (on plot 4A) as part of a mixed-use building overlooking a major new public space known as Manor Square.<\/p>\n<p>The 13-storey building \u2013 with a part 18 and part 19-storey \u2018crown\u2019 \u2013 will also include ground-floor shops, bars and restaurants as well as a first and second-floor \u2018leisure unit\u2019.
