The council is seeking one team to work on project delivery and implementation and another to assist with strategic development and planning. Both teams will be called upon to project professional expertise and capacity to support local economic development.<\/p>\n

It is anticipated that the two successful teams will also work together to \u2018ensure effective and efficient transition from strategic planning through to implementation and delivery of various plans, programmes and proposals.\u2019<\/p>\n

According to the brief: \u2018The [economic development] team, part of the Council\u2019s Regulation and Economic Development Service (REDS), is a small but busy one.<\/p>\n

\u2018Duties cover a range of activities from socio-economic analysis, writing and submitting business cases and funding bids, project development (concepts through to detailed proposals), strategic planning and consenting, monitoring & evaluation as well as also overseeing on-the-ground delivery and implementation of a range of diverse (and sometimes complex) capital projects.\u2019<\/p>\n

Anglesey is a 710km2 <\/sup>island home to around 68,000 people and located on the north west coast of Wales. Last summer, Isle of Anglesey County Council launched a search for a multi-disciplinary team to support its \u2018Energy Island\u2019<\/a> which aims to boost regeneration across Anglesey through a series of low carbon projects.<\/p>\n

Since 2011, the local council has been engaged in an Energy Island Programme intended to transition the island to a \u2018prosperous and resilient low carbon economy\u2019 while also creating new jobs, enhancing the local environment and supporting local culture.<\/p>\n

The latest procurement comes six years after Manalo & White Architects were selected to transform a Grade II-listed church into a \u00a33.2 million home for the Fr\u00e2n Wen youth theatre<\/a> in nearby Bangor, north-west Wales.<\/p>\n

Bids for the latest commission will be evaluated 80 per cent on quality and 20 per cent on price.<\/p>\n
