Key aims of the client include delivering new inclusive communities which maximise social value and promote &#8216;affordability, sustainability, and design excellence.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>According to the brief: \u2018Torus\u2019 Corporate Plan underpins its mission of Growing Stronger Communities, defining its role not only as a social landlord but as a leading growth and regeneration group. To support the delivery of its ambitious Development Programme, Torus is establishing a consultancy framework that will provide a streamlined and consistent approach to procurement, fostering collaboration and efficiency across projects. By engaging expert consultants, Torus can drive innovation, enhance project delivery, and support contractors with specialist expertise.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It is envisioned that the framework will also play a key role in maximising social value, contributing to the Growing Stronger Communities mission by addressing social challenges, supporting employment opportunities, and investing in skills development. It will also help Torus meet its obligations under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012, ensuring that its developments create lasting, positive impacts its communities.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Torus is a major housing association which since 2019 has been the parent organisation of Liverpool Mutual Homes, Helena Partnerships and Golden Gates Housing Trust. Torus employs around 1,500 people and focusses on regeneration in Liverpool, Warrington, St Helens and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Torus is part way through a \u00a31 billion investment in the Liverpool City Region which aims to deliver 5,600 new homes by 2026. Around \u00a34.5 million is expected to be spend on architects\u2019 fees during the life of the framework.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Torus revealed plans for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.torus.co.uk\/news\/torus-to-regenerate-historic-liverpool-dockside-site\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a330 million redevelopment of a former industrial site on Lightbody Street<\/a> designed by Tim Groom Architects.<\/p>\n<p>Bids for the latest framework will be evaluated 60 per cent on quality and 40 per cent on cost.
