I sketch to give my ideas physical life. We all perceive the world in a unique and multifaceted manner. My sketches serve as a manifestation of my thoughts.<\/span><\/p>\n

My subject matter is largely random, from capturing my father mid-stride, to observing my sister engaged in the most mundane tasks. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sketching allows me to discern details that often escape a cursory glance. How is her hand positioned? Does her hair fall into her face? Does his arm extend past his feet? How does that beam connect? Where are there gaps in the brickwork? <\/span><\/p>\n

It unveils a wholly different perspective on the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

When I sketch, I force myself to stop thinking, focusing on what I see and feel. Through that, I can maintain a non-perfectionist approach to my sketches, letting my hand control the outcome. <\/span><\/p>\n

To me, sketching is the antithesis of perfection; it is not a performance for an external audience but a deeply personal interaction between myself and the subject, intimate and unrefined. <\/span><\/p>\n

I find that, once I start over-thinking the piece, it loses its authenticity. Therefore, when I draw, it is only when I feel inspired, which preserves the joy of the process.<\/span><\/p>\n
