Anybody aged below 30 or within five years of their last educational qualification can apply for the 2024 edition of the scheme, which is aimed at people of colour who are based in London.<\/p>\n

Those wishing to be considered are invited to submit a short text by 6pm on 16 February. Link to the application form is here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The programme includes a series of evening workshops and talks to develop architectural writing and publishing skills, in addition to mentoring.<\/p>\n

NAW was set up by architects Thomas Aquilina and Tom Wilkinson in 2017 with the support of the Architecture Foundation and The<\/em> Architectural Review<\/em>, as well as contributors from across journalism and design. The advisory board includes Farshid Moussavi, Lesley Lokko, Adrian Lahoud, David Ogunmuyiwa and Priya Khanchandani.<\/p>\n

Participants in NAW have gone on to write for The Architects\u2019 Journal<\/em>, The <\/em>Architectural Review<\/em>, Wallpaper<\/em>, Icon<\/em>, Vice<\/em> and Frame<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The most recent, 2023, cohort was invited to Venice to take part in the architecture biennale.<\/p>\n

Leela Keshav, a member of last year\u2019s NAW cohort said: \u2018I was put in contact with an incredible range of writers and practitioners who wanted to support my own development as a writer. The expertise and generosity of NAW\u2019s contributors was phenomenal and far exceeded my expectations of the programme.\u2019<\/p>\n

The next cohort will be the sixth group of young writers chosen to take part in NAW, all of whom have been from under-represented backgrounds.<\/p>\n

Anyone wishing to apply for 2024 has until 16 February to submit their application<\/a>.<\/p>\n
