She is a co-author of France\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frugalite.org\/fr\/le-manifeste.html\"><em>frugal architecture manifesto<\/em><\/a>, launched in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>She recently founded the global <a href=\"https:\/\/terra_fibra_award.wiin-organizers.com\/en\/competitions\/TERRAFIBRA-AWARD-2021\">TERRAFIBRA Awards<\/a> to recognise and promote what she calls post-carbon architecture \u2013 buildings made with regenerative materials such as earth, straw, bamboo and hemp. She teaches at the Strasbourg National School of Architecture and is an honorary associate professor of the UNESCO Chair of Earthen Architecture, Building Cultures and Sustainable Development.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">About Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Bourgeon<\/h3>\n<p>Bourgeon is a structural engineer based in Rennes, Brittany. When Climate Champions caught up with him, he was on site at an adobe brick factory. He previously worked for Agence DVVD and Freyssinet.
